The Spring Knitting & Stitching Show at Olympia in London at the beginning of March is one of the two big craft fair days out I commit to every year - the other being the autumn show at Alexandra Palace in October. It's an opportunity to gather inspiration, meet and talk to other makers, learn about new crafts or techniques, and to shop!
After a quick, and crowded as always, trip on the tube, I emerged at Tottenham Court Road and headed west along Oxford Street. The noise of people and traffic roared in my ears as I negotiated locals trying to get places, and tourists trying to figure out where they were. I knew exactly where I was going - a quick cut down Argyll Street from Oxford Circus and the famous mock-Tudor shop front came into view.
